nothing, and Monster Queen residing. This Emperess of Nothing, the little skeleton in my closet, she's holding the best parts of me at bay. There's a prison and a field of flowers, one containing the other-- and me beside.
Captivity of the mind and mental gardens, please tell me which is worse:
Being tied down? (or) Having no chains and nowhere to fly?
And if I flew to you, please tell me what is waiting for me there. Your hands? Your arms? Your second-choices and settlements for less-deserved things? I have forsaken the dirty pearls and dandelions for gold and rich things, finding that the wealth was nothing more than bricks in my watery pocket. I'm drowning again, falling forever into a shallow grave (oubliette, mausoleum, sepulchre, abyss, void.) I have no want of pretty adjectives, but could you tell me which one will save my soul from this?

you're oblivious to the hurricane inside of these neatly-penned, paper promises. I'm a supernova, bottled up and postmarked last Tuesday, sent to your doorstep in trappings of lace and disregard.
I'm your butterfly-winged, eyelash flutter-- a messy lip-print on your bedroom mirror-- and you're my artificial romance novel-- and
